Aidas Mikelenas is a passionate and motivated artist of stained glass, watercolors and oil based paintings. Aidas originated from Kaunas, Lithuania and moved his way to Chicago, Illinois. His passion came from young days when he started attending “Kaunas Juozo Naujalio art school” in Lithuania. Through his young career he met well known Lithuanian painter Alfredas Šatas, who not long after became his personal teacher and passed down his painting knowledge. Upon completing art school and private tutoring he got into “Vilnius Art Academy” of stained glass specialty. All the education led him to find his own unique art style in painting, watercolors and stained glass. A lot of his inspiration comes from his own surroundings of architecture and culture. He likes to express himself through bold and vivid colors. Currently he lives and creates in Chicago, Illinois which you can see through his art. Where he is, he takes it as inspiration and creates it.
